The Power of Belief To Transform Your Experience

By David Neagle

I just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on their dream.
A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire for their future. Unfortunately, they didn't keep their mental doors locked... and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the pursuit of their dream.
All failure begins this way.
People may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure.
Being unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people, they fall victim to its seduction.
Take a look at what happens and how this process works:
1. We all have two parts in our thinking: One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might not ever happen. This is where most people start out.
2. Next, something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success, they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem is many individuals are not open to growth and change.)
3. Their subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing anything "new". This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure.
It is at this point in a person's journey where moving forward becomes too painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay "safe". The truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for!
You see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world, which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality, you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception. Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your dreams.
In other words, your experiences reflect your belief system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don't want to experience all you need to do to change "it" is to change the belief that caused "it" in the first place!
In theory, it's really simple... but in practice, many people find it difficult because they really don't understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway. But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when actually they are not.
The power of belief is astounding. I encourage you to study its mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power to make.

The Magic of Positive Expectation

By Kate Corbin

"Anybody who ever succeeded at anything came to a place of expecting success." - Abraham-Hicks
In January of this year, my sister called to tell me about a Friends & Family special her chiropractor was running. For $11, he was offering an exam, a full set of x-rays and a chiropractic adjustment. All this for $11? How could I say no? The exam revealed and the x-rays confirmed that I have a scrunched up, compressed lower right spine. I wasn't really surprised because, although I hadn't mentioned it to him, this area of my back is occasionally painful and I tend to "baby" it.
As he explained the treatment process, it felt like solid support that could enhance my own healthy lifestyle and I felt intuitively that the time was right to get my spine aligned. I mean, I get my car aligned, don't I? Why not my body? And, as a Law of Attraction Coach and practitioner, I'm all about alignment.:-] So I signed up for a year of chiropractic care and set my most positive intention for a happy, healthy, perfectly aligned spine.
Although I started chiropractic treatments with great enthusiasm and hope for magnificent results, after three months, I found myself wondering if it was really going to help me. I started thinking maybe it won't do much after all and I'll be disappointed.
This led me to the huge realization that I have a disappointment vibe which has convinced me, at various times in my life, that something will not work out for me and, therefore, it hasn't. I saw clearly those occasions where I had given myself fully over to the disappointment vibe so that something I had wanted very much resulted in disappointment.
Aha! I realized anew that it is absolutely up to me to continue to believe, to continue to desire, to continue to focus on the result I want and, therefore, to bring that result out of pure potential. I realized on a much deeper level that I have a choice about how things work out. I realized that it does not matter how masterful the chiropractor is. If I'm disallowing a positive outcome, it will not happen.
Fast forward another three months. Although I had staved off the disappointment vibe for a while, it started to creep back in -- "maybe it won't really do much after all. Oh, well, I tried." -- that sort of thing. This led to even deeper clarity about my power to choose. I can stay the course and maintain positive expectation OR I can give up and give in to disappointment.
It's like the Abraham-Hicks story about the journey from Phoenix to San Diego. They talk about how we get to the halfway point, around Yuma, feel discouraged and go back to Phoenix. Somewhere in our journey, our old programming about not being able to have what we want kicks in. It seems easier at that point to give up and go back where we started. The problem is that "going back to Phoenix" only strengthens and deepens our old programming for disappointment.
"You must train yourself into positive expectation. You must train yourself to only expect to succeed." - Abraham-Hicks
So here I am in Yuma - at the halfway point in my year of chiropractic. From here, I see my choices. I can give in to the disappointment vibe and disallow the positive outcome I desire OR I can use my power to choose positive expectation and continue to stay focused on what I want. As I become aware of my old programming and acknowledge what's actually at stake here, I can consciously choose to keep moving forward. I can consciously choose to create new neural pathways for positive expectation to replace the old neural pathways for disappointment.
This is where my power lies. When I choose to "keep heading for San Diego" filled with positive expectation, I'm choosing to believe I really can have what I want. And this choice and this belief make all the difference in the world.

The 5th Universal Law: That of Intention or Attraction

By Nancy Stremmel

This is the most simple of the laws, once one has mastered the previous laws. When you have accepted that you are one with Source/Divinity/Creator, and you are engaged in moving energy by giving, and you are actively making karmic choices, you are ready to become an integral being.
The integral being practices acceptance of the moment, responsibility, and defenselessness. This is necessary before you can permanently enter the 4th dimension. The higher spiritual beings are just waiting for you to be ready. They will not let a person who is prone to explosive anger or blaming, fear or regret become a master manifestor because that person would be more likely to cause hurt as to be expansive, thus increasing peace and abundance.
This 5th law gives you the power to manifest love and beauty, peace and abundance, or if you are in opposition to Source, you can also manifest illness and war, distress and destruction. This is why those individuals who are oppositional will be kept largely in the lower frequency of the third dimension. But, as we see in the world today, they do sometimes rise to a level capable of manifesting and cause trouble for us all.
Your Choice is always between Fear and Love:
This law only gives one difficulty when it is taken out of context of the other laws. "Desire is part of your karmic software" says Deepak Chopra. "Intent is what puts into process that which we desire." Make your list based on your heart's atonement to the flow and surrender that list to the womb of creation. Believe, and it is done.
Every decision is between fear and love. Are you going to make that bill payment today? Love will encourage you to do it and fear will encourage you to wait. Are you going to make that phone call to your sister/brother/cousin? Love will encourage you to do it and fear will make you hesitate.
Do you love your work enough to turn off the TV and put in some extra time mastering your craft? Do you love you family enough to do the extra work around your home without complaining? Do you love your partner and your self enough to always tell the truth and to always honor your contracts? Do you love humanity enough to trust that people are basically good and doing the best they can in any given situation?
When you are able to let go of all fear, and embrace love in all circumstances, you will be able to manifest with such speed and accuracy that your manifesting might also be called a miracle. Until that time, you will be practicing your manifesting mastery as a doctor or a lawyer practices their profession.

30 Second Present Moment Exercise

By Beth Cuje

OUR FOUR CAR TRAIN
Our body, emotions, mind, and will, are like train cars. When one car goes off the track, the other three jump the track also.
Do you want a simple, but effective way to keep your self "on track?"
The secret rests with how you manage your body (stress), emotions, mind, and will/desires.
It's fair to say that a great challenge in life is learning to manage the reactions of the four parts of us so that we stay aware and present to the moment--mindful.
Imagine executing, at regular intervals during the day, a 30 second exercise where you are reminded to bring your mind to the present moment and relax.
SOME EXAMPLES
- You're at a business meeting and you remember to be present, so you take 30 seconds to scan your body, discovering that your jaw is tight and your mind is racing because soon it will be your turn to speak... so you take three deep breaths and relax your jaw, neck, and shoulders. In this case, you manage your body and get all your "cars" back on track
Or, it is breakfast time. You are eating your toast and feeling anxious about your teenager who broke curfew last night. Right then you are reminded to come back to the present moment. So you stop, label what your emotions (fear and anger) and spend the next 30 seconds breathing and relaxing your body. In this example, instead of going off the track with anxiety and anger, you interrupt that negative emotion, let go of it and shift to a more productive way of handling the situation.
- While you're talking to a friend, you remind yourself to take some slow breaths, quiet your mind, and stop your thinking about the time you have to get back home. Instead, and you're prompted to just listen to him/her. What do you think will happen? What do you think will change within and outside yourself? For sure, you will be more intimate and available with this friend.
-Your partner is criticizing you. You want to get away and avoid an argument at any cost. Instead, you take some deep breaths and remind yourself to speak the truth with kindness.Your desire to resolve the problem is greater than your need to be right. Quietly you ask him or her to listen to your side of the story.
IT'S NOT ALWAYS EASY TO DO
It is probably hard to do this 30-second exercise every minute of the day; however, doing it every hour may not be farfetched.
Is this too much? Can you take 30 seconds to scan yourself and bring your mind back to the moment you are presently living and experiencing?
It is true that sometimes things come at us so fast and furious they cannot be easily managed. However, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain if we train ourselves to manage our body, emotions, mind, and desires well.
SOME TIPS
Here are some tips to help you get the best out of every 30-second exercise:
- Body: Pay attention to your posture and if there is tension somewhere. Use slow deep breaths to manage your tensions
- Emotions: Identify if you are angry, sad, frustrated, happy, calm, stressed, etc. Research shows that just labeling the an emotions takes away some of its power.
- Thoughts: Recognize that you are stewing, rehashing, or making up hurtful ideas and pictures in your mind. Are you dwelling in the past or lost in the future? Use this as a cue to look for possibilities options, and strengths instead.
- Will/Desires: Where are you? Are you trying inappropriately to avoid or control a person, thing, or problem? Here's hint. Looking for the truth of the situation with compassion for yourself and others will always make things better in the long run..
After checking these 4 things, take a deep breath. You're done. Remember, if you get one train car back on track the other three will get on track, too.
No one can force you to do this exercise; there is no sense in that. You must set an intention to do it for a day, every hour of that day, to see what happens... believe me, it is worth it!

3 Steps to Tracking Your Dreams Successfully

By Rochelle Holloman

Do you forget your dreams when you awaken? Most people don't remember their dreams. If you are one of those persons, then maybe what you need is this information to help you track your dreams successfully and even remember them. Once you get into the habit, it will be easier. Keeping a dream log or diary is a great tool to use to assist you.
Below are steps to take that can help you track and remember your dreams.
1. Before you go to bed, have a pen and blank pad or a sheet of paper at your bedside. (it's okay if you prefer to keep your dream log or diary instead). If you think you be better off with a tape recorder instead of writing, then do so. You will have to still put it in your log. Avoid heavy meals and lots of fluids before retiring. Avoid stressful situations, these tend to make you have night mares. Try reading to make it easier for you to fall asleep. Relax and be as peaceful as you can. Avoid sleeping aides (sleeping pills) or alcohol because you will more than likely forget your dream once you awaken.
2. Also, have some type of light at your bedside to see in case you awaken in the middle of the night with a dream. A flashlight will be fine if you don't have a lamp at your bedside that you can get to quickly.
3. As soon as you awaken start writing down your dreams. If you move to get out of bed you will surely forget it, unless it is a major dream (a major dream is one that is catastrophic in nature, a death or nightmare). Try not to think of anything but that dream. Write down keywords or a list of items or pointers that will make you remember the whole dream or at least a majority of it.
Remembering your dreams can be challenging. Analyzing or interpreting your dream can be also be frustrating if you don't know how. As stated the major obstacle or problem is remembering it. There are many interpretations of dreams. Sometimes you will need a combination of books or other sources to help in deciphering what your dream really means. Sometimes after analyzing your dream, it still does not make any sense until you have successfully followed them for a while. Try to track your dreams on a regular basis, that way it won't feel so difficult or complex.

An Anger Management Class Can Help Boost Your Emotional IQ

By Joe James

An anger management class isn't necessarily the sort of thing that only violent people have to go through. It's a class that really anybody can benefit and profit from. Everybody can, because everybody carries some form of anger; it's a raw emotion that's universal. Countless movies and stories have been produced around just this emotion; in fact, some would say that it's an eternal even essential part of being a person. So it's a little surprising that there's this notion out there that anger management class is really for the misfits of society, those that can't "handle their anger issues" (whatever that means). It's funny and odd, because we don't really say that about other things that are (so to say) "human."
To be blunt, intercourse is quite human; it's quite universal; it's quite essential and quite a normal thing for people to engage in. But as the wee ones in society grow and age, mature, they are educated about sex and the norms that surround this topic. It's odd, why don't we feel that way about anger and our emotions? Why aren't anger management courses provided to adolescents, when (arguably) their emotions are raging at their wildest and most outrageous? In fact, the mounting consensus is that this is required. In fact, there's an established term for attempting to grade this. It's called "emotional IQ." And at an early age, people are beginning to take notice of these markers in emotional behavior and management (or rather mismanagement). And it's a good step forward. See, an anger management class isn't ever only about anger; these courses are always about the full range of emotions, and the sweeps from one emotion to the next.
It's important that people that are taking these classes realize this, in order to make the most of what they're "studying." And we say studying here, not to be condescending, but again, because there's that sort of misconception out there, that anger and the full range of emotions, aren't worth tackling in this structured way. You do have to realize that there will be a lot of these opportunities to make good, on your emotional awareness, and to this end, there are plenty of resources about which anger management class to take up (since not all of them are the same). There are important resources and authorities out there, for folks that have been court ordered to seek out assistance with their emotions as well. In those cases, a counselor (appointed or not) will be able to point to the correct kind of content regarding anger management class on the web, because there is a lot out there on this subject, and it's important to keep on the straight and narrow while you're looking up this kind of information.

How to Use the Law of Attraction Using Three Strategies

By Michael L Nkollo

Once you set out to do something worthwhile, be sure that you do it correctly. That is definitely true for learning how to use the law of attraction. Planning carefully up-front, getting advice and following it, might make all the difference in whether one does something correctly and succeed, or do it wrong and fail. Not carrying this out correctly, or carrying it out poorly, can bring on mediocre results. You could potentially find yourself in a situation where you don't get exactly what you want, or perhaps attracting something you don't want. If you're looking for tips on how to use the law of attraction, these three key factors are necessary to consider to assure your success.
To start with, Focus
Have a clear picture of what you want in your mind and focus on what you want as it aids in averting things in your life that you don't want. Instead of focusing on what they want in life most people focus on what's going on bad in their life. Doing this could lead to experiencing the same cycle of struggle. It's extremely important to focus on what you want not on what you don't want.. So please don't make the miss-step of forgetting this important point.
The second is, Belief
This is actually more important than focus for all those attempting to understand how to use the law of attraction. I'm telling you, this is simply not something to overlook. It's very helpful to understand that without belief in one's self to accomplish ones goal it will be impossible to use the law of attraction effectively. Napoleon Hill said it best "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve"
Finally, Take action
And finally, when you are working with use of the law of attraction, just be sure you take action. It will help with overcoming limiting beliefs, and that's a major part of the manifestation process. Neglecting to take action regardless of the "internal stuff" that you do like focusing and visualizing could mean you won't attract exactly what you want. Jack Canfield a motivational speaker once said "the only way you can get whatever you want in life without taking action is if you live at the bottom of a hill and whatever you want can roll down to you"
The law of attraction is always working. It's like the law of gravity, regardless if you know how it works or not if you throw a rock in the air it will come back down. When you're thinking of using the law of attraction, then you certainly would like to avoid the different types of mistakes most people make when trying to apply the principals. It's very simple but there are concepts you must understand to use the law most effectively.
