Turning "Bad" Thoughts Good

I've been doing quite a bit of thinking and praying about the idea of taking our thoughts captive as Christians. What does the Bible say? Look at Philippians 4:9 with me...
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
There is so much here, it's not even funny. The end is the clincher for me though. I will have the peace of God if I practice thinking this way. What way? I believe we cannot classify our thoughts by looking at just one category. Yes, something may be true, but if its not also pure, lovely and praiseworthy I shouldn't be dwelling on it.
My thoughts control my life. I think more so since I am a writer and words are constantly rolling around in my head. Add to that, the fact that I am a woman and you'll know there are more than enough thoughts running through my head at any given moment.
So What to do with thoughts that don't make it on God's list? Thoughts of anger, frustration, jealousy, sorrow, loneliness and the like. I have to remember the end of the above verse. If I practice what the Lord would teach me, then I will be at peace. If I dwell on things I shouldn't then it should be of no great surprise that I do not have peace. Have you ever tried to be frustrated with someone and be at peace at the same time? I can honestly say I have tried, but it doesn't work.
If someone offends me, even if I am justified in being hurt, I have a choice to make.
I can hold onto the hurt and be miserable, or I can let it go and be at peace.
Some days I can do this better than others. Today, I am kicking myself for not being careful enough with my words. In my haste to communicate my "thoughts" I hurt someones feelings and now I feel bad. I have asked for forgiveness, but I keep thinking things like, "what if I had said this, or changed that..."
I realize now as I am writing this down that I have not taken my thoughts captive.
So here it goes. Although it is true that I spoke in haste, it is more true that the Lord has given me the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.The excellent and praiseworthy result from my mistake is that the Lord is a God of restoration and He allows me to make it right with the person I hurt. I am so thankful that I do not have to walk through this life alone and sad. I am thankful for the truth that Jesus loves me and is right in everything He is and does. I can practice being purposeful in my speech and tender with my words.
Peace is worth humbling myself before the Lord and the people He puts in my life.

Before you start your success story, you have to decide what you want. You have to have a very clear vision of your desires.
Step 1: Write down some specific things you want to achieve. If you want more money, write down the exact amount of money you want to earn.
Step 2: In this step you have to decide what you intend to give in return for the amount of money you desire. You know there is no such thing as something for nothing. Again, be specific what you will give for the good that you desire.
Step 3: Write down the definite date when you will get the money. When you set a goal you have to put a time limit on it. Think about how long will this take you. It's important not to give yourself an enormous amount of time. Give it six months or a year maximum. If you don't achieve it. Give yourself an extension.
Step 4: In this step you will create a plan how you will achieve your goal. It is important that you begin at once. Taking action is very important. You gotta put the energy out for universe to send it right back to you. What can you do today to get the good that you desire.
Step 5: In the fifth step is the time to regroup. This step is the composite of the first four steps. You have your four steps written down on a sheet of pepper. Read it every day. The repetition brings you closer to success. For a habit and read your goal every day. Put it on a wall somewhere you can see it every day.
Step 6: This will work for anything, not just money. In this step you have to back your goal with emotion. Read your goal twice a day. When you wake up and before you go to sleep. While you are reading it, see yourself already in the possession of the money. It is important that everything is in the present tense. You have to believe you can do it, because this will put you in the right positive vibration.
I know it is very hard to develop faith in yourself. You will believe in yourself if you do this every. Like I said before, repetition brings you closer to success, and it will also help you to believe in yourself. People who don't make it, are the people who don't do it every day. They get lazy. Don't be lazy, take action.

I really like the Internet business. I also love to write. I love to share the positive things, as well as contribute to improving the welfare of many people. Who does not love? This work makes me interact with people who are interesting and successful. Because I liked, then I do it with enthusiasm. Because I do it with great excitement and enthusiasm, this work does not feel like a job. Passion is important in achieving your success. Many people are successful because they have passion in their lives. If you do not have the Passion in a particular field, whatever you do will be a mediocre, nothing Special. Would you run all or most of your life to do the job that you dislike? What a waste of time! Love your work and achieve success there. Passion gives you motivation. Those who have a passion not easily give up, they eliminate all the spirit of fear. Because they love will work, they do not want to stop. There are always new ways to overcome obstacles who make others stop. Passion momentum they become intangible, yet powerful, making them invincible.

Many people who have great ideas but can not make the idea take off as weak in this regard. They think their ideas will take off by itself. Actually not. Precisely that is live on the runway. Having an IDEA is not enough. You must act. And worse, if you do not have the motivation and enthusiasm, an IDEA for anything would just be rubbish at your desk or in your head, without ever moving anywhere. The absence of PASSION, often the difference between failure and success!

Investing for dividends is an excellent way to participate in the stock market. Dividends represent the sharing of a company's profits with those who hold stock.
There are two kinds of stock: common and preferred. Common stock pays no or low dividends; preferred stock customarily pays a dividend on a regular basis. The investment return on common stock is from a hoped-for increase in the company's share price over time. The investment return on preferred stock is a combination of current payment of dividends as well possible long-term increase in share price.
An investor may purchase individually owned shares of companies which pay dividends. Or, an investor may purchase shares of a mutual fund which has the objective of owning dividend-paying stocks. The latter is generally considered a more conservative approach since your investment risk is spread out among the larger number of companies in the portfolio.
Pros of Dividend Investing:
1. Dividends create a source of cash for re-investment. There is a continuing stream of cash created by dividends. Re-investment of the cash in the purchase of additional shares is a great way to grow your portfolio.
2. Dividends create a source of cash for monthly income needs. At some point in your life, you will need income from something other than work. Having a flow of dividend income is a wonderful way of planning for your economic freedom.
3 Dividend investing benefits from dollar-cost-averaging. Constant re-investment of dividends over time creates an average cost basis. The theory is, that through continuous purchasing of shares, the average cost will be lower than the current price.
4. Dividends offer a source of earnings in a down market. Investor frustration and fears rise during a market decline. Dividend investors can take solace from the fact that there will be profits from their portfolio during the downturns.

Cons of Dividend Investing:
1. Dividend income is subject to ordinary income tax. Every year investors must pay income tax on dividends.
2. Dividends are not a guaranteed payment. Dividend payments are subject to change. If the business of a company is not as profitable as it once was, the company may choose to lower or suspend dividend payments. The risk that any one company may have poor results may be lessened by diversification.
3. Dividend investors may not make as much profit on share price increases as common stock investors. Since dividends are a recognition and payment of profits, dividends are part of the company share value. With a common stock, most--if not all--of the share value comes from a rise in market price. Some investors believe that there is a greater potential return from common stocks. However, there may also be a greater market risk.
4. Dividend-paying stock prices may go down when yields rise in the market place. Companies that pay dividends compete with other investment choices. The dividend yield can be an attraction. However, when yields generally rise and investors can get higher yields elsewhere, the yield of a lower-than-market dividend may be offset by a lowering of share price to make up the difference.
As with any investment, you would do well to remain vigilant in assessing factors which affect the value of your portfolio. Take an interest in how your investments work. You will be more at ease in knowing what to expect.

Everything Is OK Right Now

Do you find yourself in a state of low-grade anxiety much of the time? Is there a sense of pressure that unrelentingly weighs down upon you? Maybe your mind is constantly busy with thoughts about what you "have to" or "should" do.
There are many reasons you could find to support feeling stressed or anxious-the state of the world economy, the prevalence of natural disasters, the news headlines, the rhetoric of our politicians, or predictions of what lies ahead for us in 2012. Perhaps your feelings come from the unremitting presence of your debts and bills or from your never-ending TO DO List. Maybe they come from constant concerns for your loved ones.
What is it that keeps you from being happy with life right now?
No matter what your answer to that question is, there is one simple action that can turn the tide and shift your experience right here and now-being fully present. When you do that, you realize that everything is O.K.
What does that mean and how does that work?
First, being present contrasts with being worried about what may happen in the future or beating yourself up about what happened in the past. When you are present, you temporarily let go of those two time zones to more fully experience "what is" inside you and right in front of you.
Being present begins within. You become aware of sensations and feelings right now in your body. If you are used to focusing on tasks or events outside you, feeling inside your body may seem a bit odd. You may not know what that would be like-to feel inside your body. However, awakening your inner senses is a profound way to be present and a key to accessing true happiness right here and now.
You can begin very simply by becoming aware of your breathing. Take a few slow deep breaths and feel the sensation of breathing in your abdomen, your chest, your nose, and your throat. Take a moment to really enjoy the feeling of breathing fully and deeply.
Now see if you can feel the space inside your skin. You could begin by feeling the space inside your hands and fingers. Then, allow this inner sensation to spread out into your arms, torso, and head. Allow inner sensation to expand into your abdomen, hips, legs, and feet.
You may find that you can feel some areas inside your body and not others. That's O.K. Center your attention in whatever sensation you can feel. Can you notice that your thoughts become quiet as you focus on inner sensation? Or, maybe, you have thoughts about if you're doing this right or if it is a waste of your time. It's O.K. Those thoughts are normal at the start.
Learning to be present is about becoming aware of present felt sensations and differentiating these from the interpretations that you layer on top of those raw sensations. This can be a profound realization-to understand that how you interpret things is not necessarily the way things are.
As you become more aware of inner sensations, you can expand your awareness to include outer sensations that are present in your environment. Notice the fine details of your surroundings. Notice what you might normally pass by in your rush to get things done. Allow the colors, sounds, smells, and feeling of the space around you to become brighter and more vibrant. Again, notice how your mind quiets down as you do this. Also, notice any commentary that goes on inside your head.
As you notice the details inside your skin and in your surroundings, you may begin to appreciate the beauty in "what is." I suggest you actively look for that. Look for the good around you. Then, take it one step farther and move into gratitude.
What are you grateful for right now? I suggest making a list of everything you can find to be grateful for. Taking a few moments to write these things down can really shift your perception. The more you find to be grateful for, the happier you'll be.
As you actively focus into present sensations, appreciate them, and feel grateful for them, your mind continues to become quieter and quieter. Freed from your thoughts about the future and the past, you discover that everything is actually O.K. As your worries and fears recede, you realize that right now you are fine. You can handle what is happening in this moment and you may even find that things are much better than you thought.

Affirmations are a key component of implementing the Law of Attraction correctly. They empower the mind to project a positive wave length. Positive projection encourages both action and reception. Sometimes, people use affirmations and still see or feel no change. Many times this is because the affirmations are not felt. Here are some techniques to help you feel your affirmations.
1.Understand the Power of Emotions
It is one thing to simply think something with some sort of reaction like, "Man, that sure would be nice to have some day." However, the universe will not respond to such a thought. Have you ever noticed that how you or another person feels can have a dramatic impact on your day, week, or even life? This is especially true when that person is of great importance to you, like a spouse, or someone you have a lot of exposure to, like a coworker. If you are around somebody who is feeling happy, you are more likely to feel happy. If you are around somebody who is feeling down, you will probably feel down.
This is because feelings resonate much stronger than thought. What I just said may be one of the most IMPORTANT aspects of the Law of Attraction. So, using deduction, if feeling is more powerful than thought, then one must feel their desires in order for them to be achieved.
2. Use Your Emotion to Fuel Action
In the end, the Law of Attraction is about action. You must actively think, do, and feel what you want. continuing to take action at each new progressive step to reach your goals. Here is a simple exercise. Think about your dream car, not science fiction dream car (of course twin ion engines would be nice), but a car that you want right now. First, just think of the car. You may have a picture in your head or maybe a vision of when that car passed you by on the road. Take note that you are probably feeling something very passive right now. Maybe your feelings are along the line of empathy, you like the car but know it is isn't practical, so you shrug it off. Perhaps you feel envious of those who have the car. Envy is often followed by feelings of negativity regarding your own self-worth and success.
This is what you have to do in your affirmations. You must create feelings of success, wealth, and love. Then, associate those specific feelings with specific affirmations. At the core of human existence lies experience. We pursue and avoid certain experiences based on the feelings they produce. You will be much more likely to take action and to resonate your true desires out to the universe if you truly feel your affirmations. If you've been implementing “Google AdSense” on your website for a while, and you feel that you aren't making the kind of money that you should be, you probably need to fine tune things a little.

To start with, you need to get traffic. Lots of traffic would be nice. Then you need to get those hard-earned visitors to click on your AdSense adverts and earn you some extra cash.


There are many ways to turn your website traffic into AdSense traffic. Here are a few suggestions to help bring you more success.

The first thing you need to do is tune up your website's content. For some people this isn't an option. If you're running a forum, for example, it's very hard to organise the content as you would like. For the rest of us, however, it is relatively easy to turn our little home on the web into a cash-generating juggernaut.

To begin, you should be aware of what your website's keywords, or keyword phrases, are. This is a basic technique in search engine optimization, known as "keyword density verification". A good tool to use is "SEO Density Analizer".

You should then take your list of keywords and search the "Overture Search Inventory" or "Google AdWords Sandbox" to find out if any other words could be doing a better job than those you're currently using.

Try to keep your website focused on the things that appear mostly in the keyword suggestions you receive. Include those keywords, or at least some related keywords, as often as you can in the various links and content on your website. Because of the way AdSense works, this is an excellent way to increase your earnings because you'll get better adverts in your AdSense units and banners.

It's also important that you continuously add new pages to your website. The more pages you have, the higher the chance that you'll get more hits on your AdSense adverts.

Make sure you choose the appropriate formats for your AdSense units and find the best locations for them. This is a much wider subject, but you should be aware that the top three "Google AdSense" formats are: 336x280 large rectangle, 300x250 medium rectangle and 160x600 skyscraper.

Make sure that the colors you choose for the units are also appropriate, as making them too different from your website design will probably mean that visitors regard them as adverts that have nothing to do with the content they are viewing.

Position the AdSense units where they'll generate the highest amount of profit. The best place to position your main AdSense unit is before the beginning of the actual content of the page. On pages with a long text body, you might find skyscrapers do better, simply because visitors get exposed to them longer.

You should use more AdSense units if you have a lot of text on your page. Just make sure not to overdo it because you might find that you will get lower click-through rates, and lower revenues, than you were getting in the first place. You can add as many as three units to a page, so use them wisely.

It is vitally important that you respect the AdSense policy regarding click fraud. Above all else, you must not click your own AdSense adverts as this could get you banned from using it.

Of course, there are more ways to increase AdSense traffic from your website, but these suggestions should serve as a good starting point to increasing your income.

Yield No Yards

Sometimes you have to hold your ground, as sometimes that makes sense. You see, sometimes you must yield no yards, and if you fail to do so, you lose, along with the rest of your team. Okay so, let's talk a little bit about life's lessons and a little philosophy on that if you will.
Now then, President Obama says everything is negotiable, and I know a few lawyers who'd have you believing the same as well, but sometimes there are some things which should not be negotiable. You see, if you believe that everything is always negotiable, you're also likely to fall for anything. Perhaps it's a lot like that country song; "you have to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything." There is a lot of truth to that, you have to admit.
Okay so, if you stand for something, then chances are you stand against something else. If you stand against too many things, you're liable to make yourself a target, and prevent forward advancement in human society, especially in this day and age of political correctness. At some point in your life you will come to a place where you will have to defend what you are about be it your family, your business in the marketplace, your political views, or your integrity.
When you reach that point you will have some decisions to make, you can either dig in, or yield. If you plan on taking it and holding your ground, you better be ready for the onslaught. Indeed, the football analogy is a good one here, and I'm sure Vince Lombardi would agree. And, I'm sure he also at one time or another uttered those words; "You Will Yield No Yards!" - and if he said it, he meant it.
It is much easier to hold your ground when you have a solid team that you can believe in, where each teammate believes in the same. Yes, there is strength in numbers, and there is safety in conviction, and belief, and in those who will affirm their commitments, dedication, perseverance, and personal strength of character and will to absolutely, positively, never yield those yards. There have been sports stories, political stories, and war stories around this very topic.
There are few times in life where a man's true character can be judged. But the strength of that individual, and their mental will at the point where they make a stand will determine the worth of that man. I wish you well, and I hope that you will understand that sometimes you must not yield any yards, you must stand your ground against any adversity, any competitor, and any evil doer on this side or the other.

Let Your Strength Work for You

Each student has some strength and weakness. It is a common advise available to everyone that he should try to overcome his weaknesses. This shifts the focus towards weaknesses and in certain situations doesn't allow the strength to work.
It depends on the kind of examinations a student is taking. There are examinations in which lakhs of students score over 90% marks. Do such tests test the strengths of the students or weaknesses? It is basically a pressure situation in which a student has to built a capability of answering questions in a pre-decided way. If he does, he scores irrespective of whether he knows the concept or not. He gets high marks but how does it help him? High marks can be helpful only in getting admission in next course where admission is based on marks. Leave aside the marks and you find that these students in order to get high marks have build such capabilities that may not be of much help in getting success in subsequent phases of life. Mere a surface level knowledge on all the topics in the structured way provided by the system is good enough to score 90%. This habit of living with surface level knowledge and not learning to go deeper becomes a bottleneck in getting overall success at later stage.
Majority of the examinations in India that open the door of great career are low scoring. Whether it is IIT-JEE or CAT or Civil services examination, in all such examinations it is seen that about 50% aggregate marks is good enough to get a good rank. Such tests try to test the depth of understanding of various concepts in the student. It penetrates to such level that it is not easy to have such in-depth understanding in all the topics in the syllabus. It is not expected too. But, if a person follows the advise of working hard on the weaknesses, he gets into a trap. He is not able to go sufficiently deep on his strong topics to be able to score in such examinations. Also, he is not able to do much from his weak areas. It is seen that lakhs of students regularly scoring over 90% in their school and college examinations fail to score even 20-25% in examinations like IIT-JEE. That too after coaching from highly reputed places.
Hence, it is very important to work on own strengths and allow them to work for you. Shifting the focus from weaknesses to strengths works wonders. And it makes the preparation enjoying too.

3 Steps to Tracking Your Dreams Successfully

Do you forget your dreams when you awaken? Most people don't remember their dreams. If you are one of those persons, then maybe what you need is this information to help you track your dreams successfully and even remember them. Once you get into the habit, it will be easier. Keeping a dream log or diary is a great tool to use to assist you.
Below are steps to take that can help you track and remember your dreams.
1. Before you go to bed, have a pen and blank pad or a sheet of paper at your bedside. (it's okay if you prefer to keep your dream log or diary instead). If you think you be better off with a tape recorder instead of writing, then do so. You will have to still put it in your log. Avoid heavy meals and lots of fluids before retiring. Avoid stressful situations, these tend to make you have night mares. Try reading to make it easier for you to fall asleep. Relax and be as peaceful as you can. Avoid sleeping aides (sleeping pills) or alcohol because you will more than likely forget your dream once you awaken.
2. Also, have some type of light at your bedside to see in case you awaken in the middle of the night with a dream. A flashlight will be fine if you don't have a lamp at your bedside that you can get to quickly.
3. As soon as you awaken start writing down your dreams. If you move to get out of bed you will surely forget it, unless it is a major dream (a major dream is one that is catastrophic in nature, a death or nightmare). Try not to think of anything but that dream. Write down keywords or a list of items or pointers that will make you remember the whole dream or at least a majority of it.
Remembering your dreams can be challenging. Analyzing or interpreting your dream can be also be frustrating if you don't know how. As stated the major obstacle or problem is remembering it. There are many interpretations of dreams. Sometimes you will need a combination of books or other sources to help in deciphering what your dream really means. Sometimes after analyzing your dream, it still does not make any sense until you have successfully followed them for a while. Try to track your dreams on a regular basis, that way it won't feel so difficult or complex.

Success Is Up To You Alone

Art Blakey, the late legendary jazz drummer, used to say that if you have something to offer, the world will beat a path to your door. I used to believe in this saying. I used to think that if one had a talent for something and gave a good effort, then success would inevitably follow. And while I believe there still may be a grain of truth in what Blakey said, I no longer believe in it to the extent I once did.
Folks, I've learned a lot in my career change as a writer. I've learned a thing or two about success. And I can tell you one truth about success is that it does not come easy. In order to find success, one must be willing to give his or her all -- and then be ready to give some more. Indeed, one must be willing to suffer -- and in a substantial measure -- to reach success.
Let's take writing a blog, for example. When I started mine, I had no idea what successful blogging or writing was all about. But I've learned that, to make a successful blog, one must do three things. First, one must have a creative and appealing theme and web design. Second, one must consistently write thoughtful and interesting articles, giving readers something substantial to read and think about. Lastly, one must doggedly pursue building website traffic.
Of these three things, I believe I have accomplished the first two. I have a creative web design and I believe I write thought-provoking articles. I believe I have inspired others in some measure with my writing. The last part, building site traffic, has been very challenging. Now, there was a time that, in realizing all the unwanted work ahead of me, I would have simply given up. (I am a creative sort and not technical at all. Things such as search engine optimization, tags, and clouds do not interest me at all. Frankly I despise the technical aspects of managing a website.) I simply would not have put in the grinding work required to make by blog anything more than a creative endeavor with a modicum of success.
But, you know what? For some reason (I believe it's a bit of maturing on my part), I have come to understand that, in order to be a success, I am just gong to have to bear down and do the work I do not like in order to continue doing the creative parts I love to do. For if I want a successful writing career, I must simply swallow this truth and get the job done. And I have come to realize that I am the only one who is going to make it all happen. No one will just hand you success. To the contrary, you must be willing to give everything you have to attain it. In reaching real, authentic success (however you personally define it), it's totally up to you. This is a hard but real truth.
But the wonderful news is that -- hey, at least you know. It took me years to discover this truth. And you should not view this truth as negative in any way. You should view it for what it is -- a simple truth. For, in the end, success will only mean something to you when you have earned it. That's true for just about anything I can think of. Just about everything I hold near and dear to my heart I have earned. This is true of everything from meaningful personal relationships to spirituality to material possessions. As the old saying goes, you truly do get out of something that which you put into it. It's also true that, typically, you don't get something for nothing.
Take this as a challenge. In meeting any goal, learn to do the things you do not like with every bit the same zeal you bring to the parts you do like. For, at some point, you will discover that the parts that seem so daunting now will eventually become just a natural part of your work. It's about facing and conquering fear and the unknown. You must simply dedicate yourself to mastering all the skill set you will need for success.
The more challenges you face and conquer, the more confidence you will gain for future challenges. For challenges will always be there. You will never reach a point where you can just sit on your success. If so, you will begin that slow descent into mediocrity that leads to the opposite of success.

It will clear your brain, get your creativity flowing and it help you regain your focus. Any motion is better than no motion.
2. Eat Well and Eat Less! It's amazing how much energy it takes to process heavy and unhealthy food. Eat less meat, and begin to eat less refined food and drinks. Eat more raw fruits, vegetables, lots of pure water and high quality seafood. This will help keep your body clean, your mind will be clearer, and your energy will skyrocket!
3. Re-Charge Activity! Find something you love to do. Go to a movie, read a book, listen to your favorite music or go away overnight. Do something you enjoy to break the routine and reset your mood. When you are down, do something that always makes you smile.
4. Listen to Audio Books! This is a negative world we live in. Listening to some great audio book will definitely benefit you. Plus, you can always have them on in your car, or at the gym, so they can always fit into your schedule.
Listen to the great minds and it will put you back on track. I recommend: Jack Canfield "The Success Principles", Brian Tracy "Maximum Achievement", and Napoleon Hill "Think and Grow Rich." These three all contain positive messages that you can benefit from.
5. Meet with other positive and successful people! Find mentors that can help you or other non-mentor friends and spend time with them! They will lift you up and inspire you. Find a positive inspiring person to put it everything in perspective and help you see your rut from a different perspective! That "rut" that you are in could be filled with positive things as well!
