Create Your Success Story In 6 Easy Steps

By Andrej Urek

Every success story starts as an idea. All big things were ideas first, before they become a reality. Our brain is like an electrical power station and thoughts are like electric impulses that feed our creativity. We have no clue how much power and potential We have in our brain.
Before you start your success story, you have to decide what you want. You have to have a very clear vision of your desires.
Step 1: Write down some specific things you want to achieve. If you want more money, write down the exact amount of money you want to earn.
Step 2: In this step you have to decide what you intend to give in return for the amount of money you desire. You know there is no such thing as something for nothing. Again, be specific what you will give for the good that you desire.
Step 3: Write down the definite date when you will get the money. When you set a goal you have to put a time limit on it. Think about how long will this take you. It's important not to give yourself an enormous amount of time. Give it six months or a year maximum. If you don't achieve it. Give yourself an extension.
Step 4: In this step you will create a plan how you will achieve your goal. It is important that you begin at once. Taking action is very important. You gotta put the energy out for universe to send it right back to you. What can you do today to get the good that you desire.
Step 5: In the fifth step is the time to regroup. This step is the composite of the first four steps. You have your four steps written down on a sheet of pepper. Read it every day. The repetition brings you closer to success. For a habit and read your goal every day. Put it on a wall somewhere you can see it every day.
Step 6: This will work for anything, not just money. In this step you have to back your goal with emotion. Read your goal twice a day. When you wake up and before you go to sleep. While you are reading it, see yourself already in the possession of the money. It is important that everything is in the present tense. You have to believe you can do it, because this will put you in the right positive vibration.
I know it is very hard to develop faith in yourself. You will believe in yourself if you do this every. Like I said before, repetition brings you closer to success, and it will also help you to believe in yourself. People who don't make it, are the people who don't do it every day. They get lazy. Don't be lazy, take action.

Marketing Strategies for Small Businesses - 7 Tips to Help You Get More Clients

By Anne Galloway

Like all small business owners, you want to get more clients but feel that nothing you do is getting the results you want. Rest assured that you are not alone. I have heard this a lot from clients which is why I have put together what I believe to be the key 7 things that you need to do in order to get more clients. Most of the 7 tips are extremely obvious but what I have been finding is that while many business owners are aware of them, they aren't really following them - only read this if you are prepared to make the time to take appropriate action!

  1. Take time to define your niche and target market because you can't be all things to all people. You need to know what makes you and your products/services unique so you can position yourself as an expert within your niche. Then you must have a clearly defined market which you can describe in 1 short sentence. There is a lot of information available on the internet to help you do this. You can then ensure that the vast majority of your marketing efforts are targeted directly at your target market in order for it to be effective. For example, if your niche is career coaching and your target market is school leavers, then this is the area you should be focussing your marketing on.
  2. Try changing your approach to selling so that you "sell the sizzle not the steak". People will buy from you if you can give them a solution to their problem so stop trying to sell products and services and instead focus on making your target market aware of the solutions and benefits that your products/services provide.
  3. Build relationships based on trust with your target market. This takes time and patience yet will always produce results. Nothing beats face to face interaction and public speaking or holding a workshop/seminar is a great way to demonstrate your expertise and start building relationships (the great thing here is that you can then leverage the content and turn it into a CD or e-book which you can either give away or sell). Another way is to have an information product to give away to potential clients - one that clearly demonstrates your expertise; then follow up and continue to give away information that you know will help them (you might even have a few lower cost products to make it easier for potential clients to start buying from you). Once potential clients trust you and view you as an expert who can provide solutions to their problems they are more likely to buy from you and/or recommend you.
  4. Close the sale. You have demonstrated that you are an expert in your field and potential clients trust you. All you need to do now is close the sale by showing that you are, or you have, the solution to their problem. The chances are that by following the previous steps, potential clients will already know this so you just need to ask them if they'd like you to provide them with the solution. If you feel uncomfortable doing this then run through the scenario in your head and visualise the prospective client saying yes. Positive visualisation is a powerful tool that is frequently used to help boost confidence - don't just take my word for it.
  5. Know your numbers. In order to get more clients, you need to know where your current clients are coming from so you can focus your marketing on those areas rather than wasting your valuable time and energy on marketing tactics that just aren't working.
  6. Be consistent in what you do. Instead of feeling you have to jump on the bandwagon every time you hear about a new method of marketing, choose to do a few things that you know will be most effective for your company and stick with them. Instead of spreading yourself thinly try attending a few networking events that you consistently follow up on or write a short series of articles related to your niche. This will produce far greater results than an article here, a paid advert there, a single networking event with no follow up etc.
  7. Ask for help. As a small business owner struggling to get more clients, you may believe that you have to do everything yourself. Believe me, you don't and asking for help to get more clients doesn't have to break the bank either. You can ask people in your network for referrals (make sure you do the same in return). Contact all your old friends and relatives and let them know what you are up to - the chances are that they will be far better at promoting you than you are. Start building reciprocal relationships with other small businesses ('Two Motivating Minds' is just one example of a successful strategic alliance between 2 small businesses) you will be surprised by how much this will benefit your business.
The above 7 tips are just the tip of the iceberg from a new program ("Effective Marketing Strategies to Get You More Clients") that I have recently developed in an attempt to demystify the sales and marketing process and help my clients succeed.
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

5 Reasons Failure Is OK

By Andrew James Miller

We've all seen it during our school days. The giant red F at the top of the page of homework, or a test. Even if you went through school with a 4.0 (you perfectionist, you) you probably have had nightmares about how soul-crushing it would be to get one. I got one F during my entire academic career (math test), and I remember exactly what it looked like, and its position on the page. It's seared into my memory, because of what it stood for: failure. Of course, the really insidious thing about failure is it causes another F - fear. Fear is like a decease, crippling and devastating if allowed to run rampant in the human frame. So, to avoid fear, we should do everything we can to avoid failure, right?
Wrong. I think we need to embrace failure. Failure's ok, and I'll tell you why.
1. You learn from failure.
Success doesn't teach you half of what failure teaches you. Failure shows you what you have yet to learn, ways you can improve, and (if you let it) can be the best stepping stone to success. However, if you take your failure personally and refuse to learn from it, the would-be stepping stone gets tied around your neck and you get hurled into the ocean. You have to be able to step back from the inherent emotional risks of failure and look for the lessons, or fear will consume you. You must also remember that failure will tend to effect you emotionally if you stake your entire identity on the project in question: be sure to work towards success in other areas of your life so a failing in one can be taken as a learning experience; it's difficult to learn when your entire foundation for your identity has dropped out.
2. Failures show that you're pushing yourself.
People who push the boundaries of their talents and constantly learn and grow tend to succeed. If you haven't made a mistake, had a failure, you're probably staying well within your comfort zone and not fulfilling your potential. If something scares you, do it. Fear of failure can be crippling, but only if you run away from it. If you run towards the projects you fear the most, you'll grow exponentially. Yes, you might fail dismally, but you might be more creative and ingenious than you think and be able to figure it out. Either way, you've learned and grown, if you have the right attitude about failure.
3. Small failures keep you from catastrophic failures.
Once you make a mistake on a small scale and learn from it, you are unlikely to make the same mistake on a larger scale. Imagine a visionary architect who sets out to build a building that seems impossible to most other architects. He draws dozens of pictures of the building, and is constantly changing and refining his design. He builds scale models. He shows the ideas to his friends and illicits their advice. He does the math, researches different building materials and finally has the complete picture and builds the impossible building. What's he done here? He's essentially failed over and over again. When his colleagues tell him a certain part of the building won't work, he's failed a little bit. As he draws and refines the building, the design changes as he fails to get the correct design, over and over again. Perhaps he has to scrap the whole basis of the idea and start clean.
He's failed. Perhaps he realizes while he's making the scale models that something aspect of the building needs to change. Back to the drawing board, he's failed. But finally, when he's done due diligence and the building is built, it's beautiful. It's a success. All the small setbacks and mistakes - all of the small failures - have kept the final building from being a failure. Imagine if the architect just went to the building site and winged it. He would be pulling a lot of nails.
4.Failures change your behavior for good.
Speaking of architects, there's a house in town that is a fine example of a huge, resounding failure. It's a big, beautiful high-end house, and it sits, nearly finished, on a mound of dirt in a nice section of town. The exterior is done, all of the new windows are in. But they've halted production; the inside may never be finished, and the yard has gone to weeds. Why? There's a limit set by the local homeowner's association as to how tall a house can be, and this house exceeds the limit by several feet. Construction has been halted indefinitely. Now, you would think that someone would have checked the requirements for houses in the neighborhood - the contractor, the architect, the unfortunate people who are paying for this mess - but no one did, and now this huge, expensive, failure of a house sits vacant in the lot, while the weeds grow up around it.
But let me ask you: if these people ever build another house, do you think they'll forget to check? Not a snowball's chance in July. The extremely expensive mistake they made (Dave Ramsey calls it "Stupid Tax") has indelibly burnt this into their minds. They probably would check the policies multiple times, consult and throughly impress the fact that their house must be under a certain hight with the architect, and be out on the building site with a tape measure, just to make sure. They will never make the same mistake again, because their failure has changed their behavior. Pain has a way of doing that.
5."Remember that failure is an event, not a person." - Zig Zigler
This is very important for your well-being. You're not a failure. You have to impress this into your mind. Write it on your hand. Put it on your desktop. This idea gives you permission to try as hard as you can and fail miserably. It's ok, you're not a failure. You can just try again. Finished your first novel and everyone who reads it tells you not to quit your day job? It's ok, the novel may have failed, but you aren't a failure. You can go on to the next thing, and the next thing, as many as it takes. Labels are hard to get rid of, but events you can move past really quickly. Failure is an event. Accept it as it is, learn what you can, change your behavior if needed, and keep moving.
What happened after I got the F on the math test? I went crazy. I'm no morning person, but I started getting up a 6:00 to do a set of math problems every morning. I made flash cards. I wrote down everything the teacher said. I aced the next test. I was able to learn from the failure, and was better off for it.

Stop Resisting and Accept

By Michael Anthony Martin

Dealing with Difficult People... Stop Resisting and Accept
Stop Resisting and Accept
Learn to deal with the difficult people in your life by improving your communication skills, accessing additional resources, and knowing when it's time to just accept things as they are.
"We struggle to define ourselves from earth and vast blue sky
We open to explore ourselves unto the question why
Then we realize that hoping will not take us to our dreams
One step is just beginning
To accept life as it seems"
The difficult person in your life may never change but you can. Your challenge may be to stop resisting and to accept the person and situation as exactly as it is. What stands in your way is called resistance. It can be provoked in many different ways and for a variety of reasons. The first step to overcoming resistance is to be more aware, or conscious that we are actually resisting something, or in your case the difficult person or situation that has arisen.
One of the early signs of resistance is that we notice ourselves becoming more defensive. We put up an emotional wall to ideas, information, and even people. We can physically feel our stomach tighten and our blood pressure rise.
We may get flushed or red in the face. Our adrenaline kicks in and we have a strong urge to fight or flee. If this happens to you around your difficult person then you may be having a stroke or heart attack, but more likely you are experiencing resistance.
Just to be clear, resistance is much deeper than disagreeing. When we disagree we can sometimes become stressed or even angry, but we don't usually want to run away or beat the other person to a pulp. Resistance is always about us and never the other person. They may provoke the feelings inside of us but they cannot change us. That is completely up to us.
Where we most resist change is precisely where we must change. We need to recognize our resistance and then change ourselves or our attitudes to watch it recede. To do that we must be open and also find clarity around the situation. Then change.
There was a fairly bad science fiction program on television a couple of years ago that featured a group of man-machines called 'borgs' as the bad guys. Their mission was to take over the brains of humans and assimilate them into their cyborg consciousness. Once the 'borgs' got you it was over. Their slogan was "Resistance is futile".
So too with the resistance to change in real life. Accept the situation and the difficult people in your life and then go about the change you need to make inside of yourself in order to move forward. Resistance really is futile.

Life - An Evolutionary Process

By Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

Life is meant to be an evolutionary growth process, which means then that no matter how good your life has become, no matter how available you are in the Laws of Life - you are on a continuous evolutionary process. If you are on a stationary plain, you might notice you feel stagnated or that life is passing you by. You are right. Life was meant to be continuously in an evolutionary pace. However, this is not to say that you need to be creating something earth-shattering every day. To the contrary, it simply means that you need to have a vision for the next phase.
Many people say they want success, but any time one agrees that conditions are difficult, and also talks about how life is unfair, or holds negative thoughts they are out of harmony with the Universal flow of life. Talking about unfairness or holding negative thoughts locks the energy flow is at a lower level of existence and out of harmony with the thing one says one wants. Thus, you are creating resistance against with what you say you want.
Of course, the question is how does one open up? By being in agreement with all that is prosperous and using every means at your command to make it easy for prosperity, abundance and the free flow of life to come into existence. Stop negative beliefs - i.e. how life is unfair Believe that prosperity and abundance is available for everyone.
On this journey called life, difficult issues come about - fair or unfair as it may seem. It is paramount to remember that there is an answer greater than the problem you are experiencing. All problems seem daunting or overwhelming when you have the attitude that things in life are fair or unfair. It is only daunting and overwhelming until you apply the right thinking, and then, the solution reveals itself.
The cliché that unfairness and making mistakes is part of life is what keeps you locked into what you fear the most - unfairness and making mistakes. The power of the Universe is consistent for everyone and in all things. The Universe is available to everyone and everything in the same fashion and intensity. Through proper thinking about the problem, challenges and vicissitudes you have access to the power to receive the answers you need.
Where you are right now as you read this; take a deep breath and accept, that your greatest answer is seeking to emerge through you. All answers to all life's questions are waiting for you to discover them. All you need to do is look, listen and trust.

How to Create Stability in Our Lives

By Aldo Marconi

How do we create the environment of stability? Especially if our lives have been wracked by upheaval and chaos? Everyone has their challenges, the waves of the sea are always churning and some storms are more destructive than others. Some waves are just hitting the shores with negligible damage and are enjoyable to watch and listen to on the beach, while others can be an outright disaster when they build up to the level of a tsunami and obliterate everything you have worked for in the blink of an eye.
Clearly, the objects, people, that are most firmly anchored, have the best chance of surviving and thriving despite the crashing sea.
We have to learn how to drop anchor. We have to create stability by being stable, by repeating certain habits till they become part of our daily routine and anchor us in a meaningful (for us) and positive way.
Most people would agree that smoking is definitely a habit, but not much of a positive one, nor an effective anchor because it continues to damage the ship (your body) while a true anchor protects the ship from being destroyed by the wild nature of the ocean.
And no offense to those who are already ensconced in this habit, because I still have plenty of my own damaging routines which have been built up over the years, but I am adamant to do my best to replace them with good anchors that preserve the ship for the journey.
Find an anchor, find one activity which is healthy for your body, mind and spirit and keep at it. Try to keep at it even when you are faced with challenges, perhaps you will not be as tranquil in your mind, but this activity will help to anchor you and get you through the waves when they rise up to the level of a storm as we know will happen one time or another in life.
Without firm boundaries and anchors, nothing really has any form. Without walls, there can be no home and without walls, there can be no pool, so building boundaries, is a good thing, whether it be for a vineyard or for a house, that is the way to establish your place and your domain in your world.
So, perhaps you already have all of your anchors lined up. And that is great. This idea though has been somewhat new to me, maybe not in terms of understanding it conceptually, but from experiencing it in practice
Over the last year now, I have been building anchors so to speak, despite my inbred nature of depression, whether it be genetic or learned, it has been my nature for many years but I have been pushing against that wave through volunteering, going to school, studying for a new career and now swimming. Those are all good anchors that have been good for the ship to stay a course of helping others and myself.
I do not think it matters whichever one a person might choose, whatever type of anchor it is, as long as it is one that you enjoy and that you do your best to commit to. Maybe it is music, maybe art, maybe a specific field (there is that field again, remember the vineyard) that you work in, maybe it is volunteering, mentoring, working out, you pick it, but at least get one that can serve as a strong anchor.
We do see this concept in nature, our solar system revolving around the pull of the sun, our own bodies, held close to the earth by gravity, our personal lives, which have probably revolved around the relationships with less than ten people, whether they have been great relationships and whether they have been stormy, the point is to start today to enhance the good anchors in our lives. And if we do not have any, pick at least one to start with and build from there.
I see an incremental improvement in most areas of my life because I have dropped some powerful anchors to protect the ship. There is no perfection, just trying to keep making progress and having these anchors is definitely contributing to staying a productive course.
The ocean is always there and the waves keep coming and there is really no escaping from storms now and then, but at least we can do our best to preserve ourselves for the journey, avoid shipwrecks so we are free to enjoy the ocean and sail another day.

Anxiety: A Tool for Success - Learn How To Turn Anxiety To Your Advantage!

By Isabelle Hamptonstone

Each day our thoughts present us with an opportunity to be anxious.
Problem:
Often we feel anxiety and worry about a particular part of ourselves and/or our sport or business. Often we feel powerless to control this anxiety. In this article, we learn how to not only take back the power, but also to use the anxiety to our own advantage. From here we can start to make a huge difference to our day to day lives and to use anxiety to our advantage.
The key here is what goes on in the mind, and is a challenge many of the sports professionals and business executives I work with have come up against.
Education:
The answer to almost every mental challenge faced by us all is hidden in the subconscious mind. This is the part of the mind that is very powerful, and is far less easy to communicate directly with than the conscious mind. With training, this becomes easier.
My Tip:
I advise you to be aware that anxiety is a poke from the unconscious mind that it is time to focus on what you DO want.
When we take a look at what is happening when we are anxious, we find that we are focusing on what we DON'T want with our thoughts.
So if an athlete is anxious about his performance - guess what their subconscious mind is going to offer up? - Yep you've guessed it - examples of poor performance!
Learning
Here's the learning folks - USE ANXIETY AS A TOOL. Becoming anxious tells you categorically to change your focus to the positive.
If you have a competition or important event coming up and you feel uneasy, gently refocus on a positive outcome. Do this each and every single time an anxious thought comes up for you. It will take repetition. Every new movement does. This will be you training your "memory muscle".
It's the same in life and work as in sport. Daily I check in with my own thoughts. Often the first sign I have that my thoughts are not optimum is when I realize I feel uncomfortable or uneasy. As soon as I realize that's happening I know I have allowed my mind to wander to thoughts that bring me no success.
Enjoy thinking yourself into being positive, after all you train your body each day and you are an amazing individual - why not use mental training as a tool to give you your edge to win?
Train yourself to be your best! Izzy

How To Say NO In 2 Simple Ways

By Ankitaa Gohain Dalmia

Most people don't like confrontations. Saying "NO" can lead to such confrontations sometimes, so here are 2 simple ways on how to say "No" without getting your relationships massacred.
Say No, Cite Your Reason
Think of all the reasons why you WANT to say no to the other person.
Maybe you don't want to go to the mall and chase your friend from one store to another. Maybe you don't want to spend overtime at work doing your boss' work for her. So instead of that, what do you want to do?
Think like this - instead of going to the mall, you'd rather be at home finishing up your laundry or some other long overdue house work. And instead of working overtime (where most likely you're not going to be paid extra), you want to spend some long overdue quality time with your family.
And cite that reason for saying no.
Never lie. What's the point in risking any relationship with lies, huh? So simply say no, state the reason why, and do what you intend to do.
Say No, Stand Your Ground
So what if you don't have any laundry or any other long overdue housework left to do, but still you don't want to go to the mall with your BFF?
For many people, a day at the mall can be relaxing. But it can be quite harrowing to others. If you do like going to the mall, but not particularly with your friend on that particular day/time, I'd still suggest you go for it. Spend some time with your friend. Maybe it's not going to be such a frantic experience as you expect it to be.
However, if you simply don't like going to the mall (or doing something what the other person has suggested/requested), you simply have to STAND YOUR GROUND!
Just say no. If you have to explain how doing something you don't want to do messes up your mood, then do explain. But stand your ground. Don't be a pushover.
If the other person is stubborn, just maintain your calm and stand your ground. Try to make the other person see reason. If that fails, try to suggest an alternative. Maybe you can go to the mall on a weekday, instead of a weekend, when there's less crowd. Bottom-line is stand your ground.

Change: Friend or Enemy?

By Kac Young

In life, something is always happening isn't it? Change, chosen or thrust upon us, is our constant companion - whether we like it or not.
When we are faced with making changes in our life - whether they are physical, spiritual or mental - it helps to ask ourselves the Twelve Top Questions For Change in order to sort out our thinking, make the most of the change impulse and prevent regrets like "What was I thinking?" Like tattoos, some changes are very permanent. We are well advised to consider the outcome before making a drastic move. Ask yourself:
Why am I really making this change?
Is my desire to make a change rooted in positive motives?
What does the new outcome, or result, look like to me?
How will it affect, or alter, my life as it is now?
How will it affect those closest to me?
How committed am I to the change?
How long will it take to make the change?
What are the biggest obstacles to making this change?
Who will support me the most in the process of change?
How much will this change cost? Really can I support it financially?
How can protect myself against naysayers and temptations that may sidetrack me?
When am I willing to begin?
If we ask ourselves those questions, and are honest about the answers, we will most likely be successful at making the change. If we discover, by asking the questions, that we have questionable responses, we might want to ask for outside advice, rethink the issues, or put the change "on hold" for a month while we get to the root of the issue.
If you are confident in your motives, by all means, step out and make the change. Invigorate your life with the excitement of all that is new. Fresh beginnings, enhanced experience, challenges, goal raising, health improvement - all of these are great incentives to keep you motivated while making a life-change. Go for it. Refresh your mind, body and soul with inspiration, courage and daring. Life will become exhilarating. Pass along your enthusiasm and encourage others to make change a friend and not a foe.
If you hit a bump, don't worry. Go back to the Twelve Top Questions For Change, refresh your rationale and renew your determination to make the change. By repeating this exercise often it will help you through the challenging moments and keep you motivated and moving forward.

Search Engine Optimization of a Magento Website

By Tijana Bocanin

When you have a Magento store, it's essential that people find you on the Internet when they are looking for products you happen to be selling. You should start thinking about this fact even before you get your online store up and running, but even if you haven't thought much about this it's never too late to start optimizing your store for search engines.
First of all you have to choose wisely among many of the Magento templates on offer. They are all in a way different and this could be significant when we are talking about search engine optimization. Next, you have to choose modules you will include, and you can include some of the modules that will help you with SEO since there are a few on Magento Connect.
It's necessary that you go over a few steps in the Magento admin section in order to set some of the parameters for SEO. Starting from the URLs, it is recommendable that you turn off the Add Store Code to URLs function. This way your URLs become more search engine friendly. It's important that even your URLs contain as much specific content as possible, because, especially lately, search engines are starting to pay more attention to the URLs than before.
In Magento, the default page title is Magento Commerce. You will need to change this as well. Go to script admin area ->System -> Configuration -> Design -> HTML Head. Enter the one chosen in the Default Title field. It will be used for non-content pages without custom title. If you want your web store name to appear in all pages' titles put it in the Title Suffix field, but this is not recommendable. Put your most important keywords as close as possible to the beginning of the title because that's the first and probably the only part search engines as well as customers will take into consideration. Keep the "Default Description" and "Default Keywords" empty."Default Robots" should be set to "INDEX, FOLLOW" for everything but a non-production environment.
Once you've given each CMS page a good content, pick a SEF URL Identifier and page title for each of them, and go to the Meta Data tab to write a description for each CMS page that you want to be ranked. But make sure you write your own descriptions with targeted keywords, because if you do that automatically with a tool, it's basically the same as allowing Google to put any snippet it likes from the site.
These are just some of the basic things you have to pay attention to. You will have to optimize the content of your pages through the use of keywords and category optimization. This can be further related to social media marketing or other types of marketing. Just stay away from the traps of black hat SEO (ways of optimization that are not allowed) and you will see a steady increase in your conversion rate.

7 Powerful Ways How to Improve Your Google AdSense Click Through Rate (CTR)

By Paul Steven Nicholls

Increasing your Google AdSense click through rate can have such a massive positive impact on how much your site earns so if you have a website which currently has a very low click through rate then your going to want to pay close attention in this article.
These are 5 effective ways how you can improve your click through rate:
Tip 1 - Use the default Google blue colour for the title of your ads
When you set up your ads make sure you always select the default Google blue colour. Even if your sites theme is a different colour still use blue because people on the internet have been conditioned for years to click on links which are (blue) if you start using red, yellow and green etc your CTR may drop.
Tip 2 - Reduce the options on your page
You need to make sure your site is clean and organized without all the clutter. If you have lots of other distractions on your site then your CTR will plummet and you will lose a lot of revenue. All you need is your content, ads, header and if you want to include any widgets in the sidebar then recent posts, pages or categories will be OK to use.
Tip 3 - Experiment with ad positions
Most of the time the 336x280 block and a 160x600 sidebar ad block will nearly always work very well how ever there's no harm in still testing to see if you can squeeze out even more profits from your AdSense site
Tip 4 - Don't use images in your content
Images will effect your CTR on your sites because they attract attention so you will end up getting less clicks and making less money. Basically do not use any images if you want to maximize your sites AdSense income.
Tip 5 - Never use borders with your ads
Do not ever use borders in your ads this is an absolute terrible mistake to make. Borders make them look like obvious ads and will again reduce your CTR by a lot. Instead select your page background colour for your ad border colour so it blends in.
Tip 6 - Ads above the fold
AdSense ads that are above the fold will get many more clicks so always put at least 2 type of ads above the fold. The fold is basically anywhere you can see before you scroll down the page.
Tip 7 - Make sure your content has relevant keywords
If you do not have relevant keywords within your content then you will not trigger the correct type of ads for your site so that means you may not get the best type and most relevant ads which will end up giving you a very low CTR. Good unique, quality content which is keyword rich and relevant to the type of ads that you want to be visible on your site.

How to Increase Your AdSense Earnings Considerably

By Mark Mutiso

Do you seem to be making peanuts from your blog while other people out there claim to make insane amounts? Don't you think you deserve better? Or at least a few more dollars for your efforts? I know that a dollar a day keeps you blogging. If you seem to be getting something for your efforts you are more likely to work harder to achieve.
So how do you go about making more money from your blog. For one don't go about putting ads on every empty space on your blog. That won't make you money. In fact it is more likely to work against you. I am sure you don't want to interfere with user experience. You don't want to mess with your readers, unless you want your blog to die.
To begin with, you need to choose whether you want to run image ads or text ads. I would recommend both. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Text ads load faster and this reduce the time your site takes to load. On the other hand image ads have a higher click through rate.
Now make sure that the background color is the same as that of your site. People tend to avoid ads and you need to make them as inconspicuous as possible. This will actually increase your click through rate. People may hate adverts but they will never avoid clicking something interesting when they see it.
You might also want to include ads in the text body. Somewhere where readers can't avoid seeing them. At the beginning of the text body, somewhere in the middle or at the end of the post. One or two adverts are enough. Like I just told you readers are king and you don't want to make their experience hell on earth.
Avoid using titles like sponsored ads, Google ads, or any other titles on top of the ads. Like I told you people don't like advertisements that much. They will avoid something that suggests the same like plague.
Vertical ads have a better click through rate than horizontal ones. I can't tell why but research has shown that. Have the big vertical rectangle and you will see a difference in the amount of money you make.
Having ads at the top bar can also do you some good as that is where the eye sees first.
By following this simple tips you will increase your AdSense earnings.

Make Online Income Promoting Google AdSense On Your Website

By Michelle Jayes

A lot of online marketers have learned to make extra money online for quite some time now by allowing Google's AdSense Program to show targeted advertisements on their websites, promoting various products for their advertisers. What this has done is to create an income stream that has added greatly to the advertiser's marketing strategies while at the same time benefiting the webmaster who hosts these advertisements as they earn a percentage share of the revenue any time a visitor to the website clicks on the ads.
This is a win-win situation all round as the advertiser gets a possible sale, Google get cash for it and the website that shows the advertisement earns some online income for its owner.
Adsense is a program from Google that is free, and you are allowed to register an account and display relevant ads on your blog, website or on free article directories. The ads that are displayed are targeted, which means that the information in the Google box all pertains to the products that you are promoting on your website or to the information that you are sharing.
This has also extended to displaying mobile and video ads, for example a website that is designed to sell golfing products will display AdSense information ads on golf techniques or other information connected to golf. The ads being shown are paid for by the publisher to Google and they are specifically aimed at their niche market. The income you earn as part of the AdSense program is a way of saying thank you from the publisher for allowing their ad to be displayed and for providing the traffic to that ad. Google is aware that generally people are attracted to quality content rather than to a search listing, and notices how descriptive the sales copy is for the ads on the various AdSense enabled web or blog page, for example:
Acting Jobs 10,000 new jobs advertised every month. Find a job with Gumtree today! Visit gumtree.com
Take note of how it uses content to sell the idea of the website benefits. This is a form of sales copy where copywriters and publishers using the AdSense program make income online by being aware of their markets and using ads like this for great results.
If your website generates a large volume of targeted traffic that converts well, then AdSense may be a good idea and a great extra stream on income, but in cases where the website is struggling to get traffic then it is unlikely that AdSense will improve the situation in any way. Acquiring some search engine optimization help and choosing the best keyword for your website content will make the task simpler for Google and the other search engines to find you, which in turn will help to generate more targeted traffic to your site.
Remember that there is a difference between AdSense and AdWords. The beauty of AdWords is that people can purchase directly from the publisher just by using the targeted keyword and baiting sales copy. On the other hand, AdSense using baited sales copy allows you to make income online from people clicking on the adverts. The benefits of this are great because AdSense connects you with people who are looking for information. Not only will AdSense information ads provide you with extra money, but it will also give your website more exposure and increase your search engine rankings.

Ways to Manage Stress

by: Shena Fowler

Although stress is often viewed as a negative, it is actually a natural and normal physical response. A stress response is simply the body’s ability to defend and protect itself. This “fight-or-flight” reaction can help a person stay energetic, alert, and focused. These behaviors can be beneficial. A winning touchdown, successful board room presentation, or an A on a test can all be partially due to a healthy stress response. However, too much stress can become harmful and can cause extreme damage to a person - physically, mentally, and relationally.

Chronic stress is caused when the body is subjected to an overwhelming amount of physical and psychological threats. Since the body cannot differentiate between extreme or moderate stress triggers, it reacts with the same intensity, regardless of how major or minor the cause. This means that a bounced check or a long commute can be the catalyst for intense stress related symptoms (that may feel as intense as a real life-or-death crisis). Symptoms may include muscle tension, headache, fatigue, anxiety, changes in eating habits, mood swings, lack of enthusiasm, and/or an upset stomach.

Each person has a different tolerance level when it comes to calculating stress. It is important for each individual to understand his or her stress level threshold. Factors that influence stress tolerance include: one’s ability to deal with emotions, one’s preparedness for stress-inducing circumstances, one’s sense of control, one’s attitude, one’s support network, one’s physical health and nutritional status, one’s fitness level, and one’s sleep habits. These variables are what enable one person to maintain a sense of calm while another person feels completely overwhelmed.

Just as each person must evaluate the factors that cause stress, it is essential for individuals to consider the ways in which they react to stress, and whether or not their responses need to be altered. Some individuals react by freezing up and becoming extremely internally agitated. Some become very outwardly agitated and may become volatile. Others become withdrawn and show little to no emotion. Understanding personal stress triggers and individual reactions are key in moving forward and coping with stress.

Although stress can affect any individual, those with fast-paced and challenging work environments (such as medical professionals) are more likely to experience the symptoms and signs of stress. Strategies for managing stress (whether it’s work related or personal) include: avoiding unnecessary stress, changing one’s situation or environment, adapting to and accepting one’s environment, upping one’s fitness level, and scheduling time for personal leisure and relaxation. Taking control of one’s life and prioritizing what’s truly important (and worth stressing over) are integral methods of managing stress.

Speed Reading Tip - Learn Effective Writing Strategies

By Howard S Berg

If you are like most speed readers, then you know that your ability can sometimes feel like a super power. Being able to flip through pages and take in information effortlessly enables you to get an edge in today's knowledge-driven world. Did you know there is a simple technique that help you increase your reading speed even higher with better comprehension? This article will explain how learning effective writing strategies can enhance and take your reading skills to a entirely different level of proficiency.
Let's get started.
When you think about it, reading is the inputting of information from text into your brain. Writing is the inverse. It takes information that is in your mind, and takes it outside to a document. It makes perfect sense that learning a skill that outputs information would contain secrets you can user for inputting information, and it turns out this is completely true.
As a professional writer, I have learned how to transform ideas into printed text. It is actually more complex than it appears at first for a very good reason. About 85% of all communication is non-verbal. Your gestures, voice patterns, inflections all impact how information is interpreted. Let me give you a specific example.
Suppose I wrote, "thank you very much. I really appreciate what you just did." How does your brain interpret this simple line of text? You probably read this as a positive and sincere compliment. Let me make a simple change by creating some context to the statement, and then read the same information.
Staring in disbelief, he could hardly believe the vile behavior shown by someone he completely trusted. Someone he would have trusted with his life. Yet their betrayer was undeniable. His face showed disbelief, anger, betrayal, and hurt as he spoke his words in a condescending and insincere tone: "thank you very much. I really appreciate what you just did."
Notice what just happened? The meaning of the words completely changed because of the context they were used. Writers learn a variety of techniques for capturing information to make it easier for others to understand. They know that without any non-verbal clues this information can often become distorted by a reader's brains. So how can you use this information to improve your reading speed and comprehension?
Study the techniques used by authors to transfer information from their minds to your own. As you become more conscious of the strategies and techniques they are using, you become capable of seeing the nuances that can greatly effect meaning in text. This simple action can improve both your reading speed and your comprehension while speed reading. As an added bonus, it also makes you a better communicator as you begin to understand how to make your ideas and thoughts easier for others to interpret.

How To Start a Home Business - 10 Tips

By Ali Puckett

1. Create a business plan
Don't be afraid to make plans. You may end up completely re-writing them as your business develops, but you should always have a roadmap. You can easily download a business plan template online to help kick-start the process.

2. Designate a workspace
Working from home can be a huge challenge with the distractions of daily life. It's important to designate a workspace that is quiet, efficient, and inspiring for you. Take time to plan the space. Find furniture and supplies to help make the most of your space. Create a system of organization that makes sense to you. Decorate your work area so that it is a place you enjoy being in.
3. Set a work schedule
It's so much easier to procrastinate when you work from home. Don't do it! Set a schedule and stick to it. This is your business, so don't be afraid to develop an offbeat schedule, if you need to. Work evenings, if that's easier. Give yourself Wednesdays and Saturdays off, rather than the traditional weekend. Whatever schedule you choose, be sure to hold yourself to it.
4. Use a calendar
So, you are the boss now. You have to be organized. Take the time to set daily, monthly, and even yearly goals for yourself. Always be aware of the task at hand, with an eye toward the tasks that are approaching. Using a calendar is the best way to ensure you will stay on track.
5. Develop your branding
Be aware that your business name and image will (and should) become synonymous with everything you do. A great business name and image will help draw people in, and brand recognition will bring them back for more. If you are not design-savvy, it is well worth the investment to find a pro graphic designer to help you create an artwork set. There are many independent creative professionals on Etsy.com who offer affordable rates and a unique design eye.
6. Blogging and Social Networking
Blogging and social networking are great ways to get the word out about your business. This can also help to build links for search engines to find you. Try to focus on updating 1 blog regularly and using 2-3 social networking sites to start. It's better to pay special attention to a few sites, rather than opening up a bunch of accounts and never using them. In addition, you should always remember that your post activity represents your business. Be polite, be professional, offer your original perspective, promote others and please don't spam us.
7. Be aware your business vs. personal finances
Registering your business as a sole proprietorship does not mean you shouldn't have a separate sense of your business and personal finances. Always have a clear understanding of living expenses when making plans for the business. There is no worse feeling than realizing you've spent your grocery money on office supplies or vice versa. Consider using computer finance software such as Quicken Home & Business, so that you always have a clear picture of your financial situation.
8. Find cost efficient ways to advertise
You don't have to spend $1,000's on an advertising campaign. Determine who your target market is and go where they are. Wise use of blogging, social networking sites, forums and chat rooms will take you a long way. When it's time to spend money, buy a printer so you can create your own business cards and targeted fliers. Offer discounts on your goods in exchange for links, bulk orders, or repeat customers. Create custom button pins, magnets, stickers to give away as promotional gifts. Use that business ingenuity to get the word out about your business without spending an arm and a leg.
9. Pay yourself
In the age of Wal-Mart and Target, people are used to cheap goods for cheap prices. New business owners may be tempted to under value their products and services to keep up with Target prices. Don't do it! Everyone deserves to get paid for the work they do. To price your products, just calculate time plus labor. It's that simple.
10. Accept help
Running a home business can be overwhelming, but you don't have to do it completely on your own. It's ok to ask for help when you need it. Whether it's a family member, a friend, or if you have to put up a flier at the local post office to seek an extra pair of hands, allow yourself to get the help needed. Finding menial tasks that someone else can do will allow you more time for creating advanced strategies.

Twitter Tutorial For Business: 10 Tips

By Brian Gibbs

When you are looking at working with Twitter, are a couple of ways to use it: the right way and the wrong way. Your posts, or tweets, need to be kept brief, 140 characters or fewer, and they should be beneficial or helpful. People aren't interested by what you had for lunch, or that you just brushed your teeth. These kinds of things will get people to stop following you pretty quickly, even if your breath does smell good.

After using Twitter for quite a while here is a list of the top-10 things I've learned (not necessarily in order, but maybe) are most effective when taking part in the Twitterverse.

  1. Tweet Regularly: I'm not saying you have to post daily tweets, however doing so wouldn't hurt. You should show up regularly. Kind of like when you were in school - if you hoped to pass, you at least had to come to class. Become a contributor your followers get to truly know and anticipate your Twitter posts. As a business person you probably don't have time to do this easily. If this is your case, there are services that help you schedule tweets ahead of time. My personal favorite is Social Oomph - the link is at the end of this article.
  2. Retweet Other's Posts: When you notice Tweets published by other Tweeple (Twitter+People) you believe your followers would enjoy, retweet them. It takes only a single click, and you'll also be building relationships with other Twitter users simultaneously. When you retweet, you can include your own thoughts or opinions before posting it.
  3. Be Helpful: Remember Twitter is a type of social networking, so social relationships are important. It isn't all about you. Anytime the opportunity arises to respond to a question, take part in a questionnaire, or help fix a problem, do so. This way you are taking part in the community. This may help your brand and image when other people know they are able to rely on you for support or comments.
  4. Don't Follow All Followers: Do not follow everybody who follows you. This might be my greatest issue in regards to Twitter. A lot of people turn this function on to auto-follow people who follow them. Why do this? I would rather have those I follow be individuals and subjects I have hand-picked, rather than random followers who might be ranting about things I don't have any interest in. Be discerning in whom you follow or your Twitter stream could rapidly fill up with spam. To find quality people within your industry or interests, check out Twellow - the link is below.
  5. Things to Tweet: Be sure that the tweets you publish are helpful and/or informative. Recent news relating to your industry, along with any special offers or sales you might have taking place are usually excellent topics. If you discover anything you believe your followers would really like, share it. Additionally, if your twitter posts are great, it can motivate other people to retweet them.
(Ideas: Funny Tweets, Inspirational Tweets, Helpful Resources, Questions and Opinions, Quotes, Leads and Opportunities, Blog Posts or Your Website)
  6. Comment: Participate in the community by writing comments on other people's twitter posts. If you're able to respond to a question, do it. It never hurts and folks will really appreciate it whenever you take time to reply to what they may have to talk about. It shows them that other people are in fact listening to what they've got to express in the "Twitterverse".
  7. Your Mother Was Right: When somebody takes time to retweet one of your twitter posts, be sure to thank them. Just like offline, manners rule online - especially in the social realm, and they will like that you noticed the retweet and took some time to show some appreciation. It might even motivate them to retweet even more of your tweets down the road.
  8. Be Personal: Once more, people really don't want to know what you had for supper, but from time to time you ought to show your human side with an innovative idea, quote, or any other statement. Show your followers that you're "real" and not simply all business. You should tread gently in this area. Being overly personal is overkill, but a little bit might help in creating a relationship with your followers.
  9. Post Photos and Videos: Don't forget, Twitter isn't just for text messages. It is easy to publish brief video clips, and photos as well. It is nice to change things up a bit and share content in other forms too.
  10. Talk About More Than Yourself: Don't make all of your tweets one massive promotional message, for example only tweeting about your most recent press release, blog posting, or report that was published. Nobody will want to follow you if all you are is a commercial. Sure, some of this can be good in small amounts, but you should walk a fine line and mix things up with helpful, intriguing topics.
